The opening event of the 2027 season took place in February at the impressive Farnham Golf Club, setting the tone for what promises to be another outstanding year of SchoolsGolf.
A Superb Start to the Season
Following a spell of heavy rain in the lead-up to the event, we were incredibly fortunate with the conditions on the day. Thanks to Farnham Golf Club’s excellent drainage system, the course held up brilliantly. The fairways and greens were in superb condition, providing a high-quality playing surface that allowed students to perform at their best from start to finish.
The atmosphere throughout the day reflected a brilliant start to the season, with players competing in great spirit and enjoying the opportunity to get back out on the course after the winter break.

A sincere thank you to everyone at Farnham Golf Club for hosting us so brilliantly. The preparation of the course, the warm welcome from staff, and the smooth organisation behind the scenes all contributed to a fantastic experience for players and staff alike.
Events like this rely heavily on the support of venues, and Farnham once again demonstrated why it is such a valued part of our calendar. We are extremely grateful for their continued support of junior golf and school sport, and we very much look forward to returning again next year.
