The latest stop on our 2027 season saw us visit a brand new venue, Dunstable Downs, for what proved to be a memorable and challenging day of golf.
A True Test at Dunstable Downs
Set high in the Chiltern Hills, Dunstable Downs is renowned for its exposed layout and dramatic elevation changes — and it certainly lived up to that reputation. The course offers stunning views alongside a unique test of golf, where controlling ball flight and adapting to the elements is key.
The weather was a stark contrast to the sunshine enjoyed at Cuddington the previous week. Strong winds swept across the course throughout the day, making club selection and course management particularly demanding.
Despite the tough conditions, every player showed great determination and resilience to complete all 18 holes. It was fantastic to see such a positive attitude across the field, with some excellent scores recorded in what were far from easy circumstances.
The course itself proved to be a brilliant addition to our calendar — a lovely track with plenty of character, where the elevation changes added both challenge and enjoyment for all involved. We are already looking forward to returning again next year.
