Outstanding golf, exceptional sportsmanship, and a warm Surrey welcome highlight one of the biggest events of the season.
SchoolsGolf returned to Surrey this week for one of the largest events of the season, hosted at the outstanding The Drift Golf Club. With a full field of players representing schools from across the country, the day proved to be a fantastic showcase of competitive school golf, sportsmanship, and organisation.
Set amongst the beautiful Surrey countryside, The Drift provided a superb test of golf. The course was presented in excellent condition, with fast greens, strong fairways, and a layout that rewarded both accuracy and intelligent course management. Despite the size of the field, pace of play throughout the day was exceptional — a credit to the maturity and professionalism shown by all competitors.
As a first-time host venue for SchoolsGolf, The Drift Golf Club and its members offered an incredibly warm welcome. The club staff were complimentary about the conduct and quality of play demonstrated by the students, with many commenting on the positive atmosphere around the course throughout the day.
Scoring across both the Stableford and Scratch competitions was outstanding, with several excellent individual performances recorded. Results have now been uploaded to England Golf.
